The provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government, ministries under the state council, directly affiliated institutions:
Approved by the state council, now will 2017, New Year's day, Spring Festival, tomb-sweeping day, labor day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn festival and National Day holiday paid leave date notices of the specific arrangement is as follows.:
one, the New Year's day on January 1, holidays, on January 2nd (Monday), not busy.
Second, the Spring Festival: 27 January to February 2, paid leave, vacation, a total of 7 days. On January 22nd (Sunday), Feb. 4 (Saturday) to work.
Three, tomb-sweeping day: April 2 to 4 holiday paid leave, a total of 3 days. On April 1 (Saturday) to work.
Four, labor day: on May 1, holidays, and over the weekend in the country.
Five, the Dragon Boat Festival, May 28 solstice 30 holiday paid leave, a total of 3 days. On May 27 (Saturday) to work.
Six, Mid-Autumn festival and National Day: on October 8 1 solstice holiday paid leave, a total of eight days. On September 30 (Saturday) to work.

国办发明电〔2016〕17号
各省、自治区、直辖市人民政府，国务院各部委、各直属机构：
经国务院批准，现将2017年元旦、春节、清明节、劳动节、端午节、中秋节和国庆节放假调休日期的具体安排通知如下。
一、元旦：1月1日放假，1月2日(星期一)补休。
二、春节：1月27日至2月2日放假调休，共7天。1月22日(星期日)、2月4日(星期六)上班。
三、清明节：4月2日至4日放假调休，共3天。4月1日(星期六)上班。
四、劳动节：5月1日放假，与周末连休。
五、端午节：5月28日至30日放假调休，共3天。5月27日(星期六)上班。
六、中秋节、国庆节：10月1日至8日放假调休，共8天。9月30日(星期六)上班。
节假日期间，各地区、各部门要妥善安排好值班和安全、保卫等工作，遇有重大突发事件，要按规定及时报告并妥善处置，确保人民群众祥和平安度过节日假期。

清明节是由“清明”节气、寒食节、上巳节三者融合而成的重大节日，其习俗活动丰富多彩，有祭奠与嬉游两类。该节日历史悠久，到现代社会仍然很受重视，有其独特的社会功能，而在节俗的形式与内涵上均有所调整和革新。
清明节是我国的重要传统节日，今天仍然是中华民族包括海外华人的重要节日之一。在传统社会中，清明节是一个特别盛大的节日。它不仅是扫墓祭奠、怀念离世亲人的节日，还是踏青嬉游、亲近大自然的节日。围绕着两种主题的民俗活动丰富多样，蔚为大观。它的节期也比较长。清明日(农历春分后第15日，公历四月五日前后)只是该节日的.标志性时间，而其习俗活动往往持续五六天到十几天(各地各时不等)。在现代社会，由于社会生活、文化观念的变化以及假日制度的限制等，清明节的内涵、活动、规模等都有了很大变化，但它仍以其特有的功能和地位为国人所重视，有着不容忽视的社会影响。考察清明节习俗的历史演变过程，结合它在现代社会的传承状况，对它做出顺乎历史、合乎民情国情的定位与规划，有着重要的社会效益和文化意义。
